History
Dragon FX was founded in December 1998 in West Edmonton Mall. The first studio of it's kind, it grew to world class status, catering to clients from around the globe in a state of the art facility.
Featuring world renowned artists and guest artists, the studios put Dragon FX on the map for high quality custom tattoos and high end, top quality body jewelry.
Today, Dragon FX maintains it's status as a reputable body art studio. Offering precision body piercing with the undisputed top line of body jewelry available by Anatometal and award winning tattoo artists. Dragon FX is also Alberta's first Health Educators accredited studio.
At DragonFX We Are Body Art Experts And We Take Care Of Your Health
Each staff has certification of completion in classes in Bloodborne Pathogens and Principles of Infection Control, Sterilization, Documentation and Wound Care. We are proud to work closely with Alberta Health Services to ensure public safety and wellbeing before, during and after your body art experience.
Dragon FX meets and exceeds Alberta Health Services standards for body art studios, and we are honored to be a teaching center for Concordia University Environmental Health Program at our Kingsway location two years in a row.
To ensure your safety and peace of mind, every staff from front of house to tattoo and piercing artists to management, hold certificates of training for Bloodborne Pathogens and Principles of Infection Control, Sterilization from Start to Finish for the Modification Industry, and Documentation and Wound care.
We continue to set the bar high for the body art industry by being the first studio in Alberta to complete a full studio set up by Health Educators - The industry's most comprehensive and recognized courses created for body artists by body artists and health care professionals.
When you come into our studios, you will clearly see our sterilization facilities in glass rooms right from our front counter. We know it's required to have a spore tested autoclave and sterilization equipment in the studio, but we go above and beyond for public safety and ensure that all of our staff are qualified and trained to use this sensitive and critical equipment.
Our senior piercers attend the Association of Professional Piercers annual conference every year. The APP conference is the largest gathering of professional piercers in the world and keeps piercers up to date on new legislation, techniques and current issues for body piercing. Most of our piercing staff are registered members of the APP.
